The Power of Two!!!

"It's the first musical comedy game in the history of video games," said Warren Spector, head of Junction Point Studios. "We're not just talking about one song. We're not just talking about music over the credits. Much of the story of Epic Mickey 2 is told through song."

WHAT??? The fist game was a great time. And I look forward to the easier controls of the Xbox but signing?? God help us if their is a Small World stage. With "over 1,000" changes to the camera system, Spector is aiming to make the new game more playable. This is great news for my 7 year old would get stuck often do to poor camera angles and the darkness of the room.

As in any Spector game, choice and consequence play key roles. Players will still be able to create objects by painting them -- or destroy objects by using paint thinner -- but this time their choices will have a much more permanent effect upon the world.

Never the less I'm a sucker for Disney and they hardly disappoint so I'm looking forward to this fall and Epic Mickey 2.

So here is a short video of the St. Patrick's Day Parade last week here in LaSalle. I don't like how this turned out I had it set a different way. Oh well.

Return of the Living Dead (1985)

The NEW Grandpa on Mocking Bird Lane!

Reported on Deadline Hollywood.

Eddie Izzard is in final negotiations to star in and produce NBC’sMunsters reboot Mockingbird Lane. Izzard is the first actor cast in the pilot, written by Bryan Fuller and to be directed by Bryan Singer.Mockingbird Lane is described as a reinvention of the 1960s sitcom about a family of “monsters” that has striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s ABC dramedy Pushing Daisies. Izzard will play Grandpa, the Munster family patriarch, a powerful, ancient vampire with an irrepressible twinkle in his eye. He can shapeshift into rats, wolves, and other creatures at will, but he’s also dapper and charming in a fedora; he is a Don Juan-type womanizer with penchant for flashy, sexy outfits.

Izzard was originally offered the role, played by Al Lewis on the original series, in January when he was tied to a drama project he had in development at FX. Facing casting difficulties, NBC rolled the pilot to June and spent the time developing the show’s visual style and settings. Meanwhile, Izzard, repped by UTA and The Collective, became available and, after fielding an offer for another pilot, he was approached again for Mockingbird Lane. Impressed by the Fuller and Singer’s vision for the Munsters world, he came on board the Universal TV-produced project as a star and a producer.

Abraham Lincoln Vs Zombies

Yeah, you read it right Honest Abe will face off against Zombie's this May. From the low budget powerhouse "The Asylum" you know all those Mega Monster movies with Tiffany and Debbie Gibson, Well they always jump at a chance to rip off the next big thing (Omega Man or their version I Omega anybody) so lets jump on the unknowing fans who can't wait for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer that hits the big screen later this summer. Let's put out a low budget straight to DVD then SyFy channel flick about Lincoln facing a zombie nation.

I know I blog about full moon features all the time proving that I like low budget movies so I must admit this looks pretty good. In fact, I might hit the Chicago Fear Feast in a few weeks just to check this out. Well and all the other cool looking movies.

Directed by Richard Schenkman who has brought us "A Diva's Christmas Carol" and "Angel 4: Undercover" hmm ok let us just skip that part. Starring Bill Oberst (Nude Nun's With Big Guns) Jason Vail (Guiding Light) and Jason Hughley (Real Steal).

The Plot: As Abraham Lincoln labors over the Gettysburg address, the importance of which he is fully aware, he learns that a menace from his past has returned, threatening to tear the already fractured nation to pieces. He must journey behind enemy lines to face a foe far more fearsome than the Confederate army: the walking dead.

The DVD hits the streets May 29,2012. With a  Widescreen Presentation with 5.1 Surround Sound. The disc will also include a Making Of Featurette. Looks like the DVD will run $14.99 and the Blu-Ray around $24.99.

Speaking of Nude Nuns with Big Guns I hope to review that movie this weekend. And I finally have a copy of Killer Eye 2 that I will review soon as well.  And if you are a Zombie fan make sure you come by in May for May Monster Madness!

My review is here Lincoln The Bad Ass

Along the way they will team up with Superman, and other heroes reportedly, to take on Luthor, The Joker and many other villains from the Batman universe.

Home Alone 5: Alone in the Dark

ABC Family has announced that "Home Alone 5: Alone In the Dark" is in the works. ABC back in November 2002 gave us "Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House". Home Alone will star Malcolm (Halloween) Debi Mazar (Batman Forever), Edward Esner (Up), Eddie Steeples (My Name Is Earl), Jodelle Ferland (Twilight Eclipses). New comer Christian Martyn will be taking the lead as Fin, an 8-year-old boy who moves from California to a creepy house in Maine. Finn is convinced the house is haunted by a ghost.

Finn is determined to catch the ghost in action so he sets up a series of traps. Of course these traps win help them catch a group of thieves who try to break in while Finn and his sister are left alone.

Home Alone 5 will premiere during ABC family's annual holiday count down "The 25 days of Christmas"

NEWSPRINT TO THE RESCUE: The Home Alone 5 Christmas movie started shooting in Winnipeg this week, without the natural snow California movie makers expected here in March. But never fear! California crews have been faking snow scenes for years, using newsprint. "Yes, we can do this, but it's very, very expensive," said co-executive producer Dennis Murphy, surveying their snow-making effort. They need seven days of snow shoots before they film indoors at the Manitoba Production Centre sound stage on Pacific Avenue. Yours truly saw huge lawns in The Gates mansion area being covered with humongous white blanket underclothes, to be sprayed with heaps of bleached and shredded newsprint. Sophisticated neighbors in the area are taking a suspicious number of "health walks" to see Tinseltown types decorate for Christmas Hollywood-style. Yours truly saw one guy on a ladder up an evergreen tree, hanging two-foot shiny colored balls over a green lawn. Surreal!

May the Luck be with you.

Happy St. Patrick's Day.

From Bob at the man cave!

Later today we will be heading downtown for the local parade then on to the long running family tradition corn beef and cabbage at the St. Pat's School (now called Trinity Catholic I feel the need to revert back to the old name today.) I have been going to this sense I was little! The big difference this year I will be working the event. Can't wait. I do plan on one green beer today but not to many more. So have a safe and wonderful St. Patrick's Day!

This week on Svengoolie 4/17

The Ghost of Frankenstein(1942)
The undead Monster and the wily Ygor have survived another mob of angry villagers. Needing help to restore the Monster's strength, Ygor brings his hulking friend to Ludwig Frankenstein, the original doctor's son. Ludwig has built a life and a reputation for himself in another town, far from the stigma and shame that his father and brother brought on the family. Ygor blackmails him. The good Ludwig realizes that the Monster is evil and must be destroyed, but he struggles with the idea of taking a life, even an undead one. He finds a solution: replace the Monster's criminal brain with the brain of his recent victim, the noble Doctor Kettering. But sly Ygor is a step ahead: he manipulates Ludwig's colleague, the jealous Doctor Bohmer, into substituting Ygor's brain for Kettering's. After the operation, the Monster--with his physical strength now guided by Ygor's wicked brain--is more terrible than ever. When will those stuffy scientists finally learn? Luckily, there is a mob of angry villagers outside Frankenstein's house...

Cubs Win LOL

OK I'm not a hater I would cheer for the Cubs in October. But the new PlayStation Commercial cracks me up. Its a total dig on the Cub blue. It clearly shows that this is the only way the Cubs will win the world series. So to all you Cub fan's pick up this game it may be the only way you see the boys in blue win.
